Bell Biv DeVoe Performance

The crowd was in high spirits at Cove Haven Entertainment Resort, Lakeville, on Sunday March 17th as they waited eagerly for a performance by Bell Biv DeVoe.

The 90’s were the prime time for the trio as they tore up the charts with their debut album, Poison. Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, and Roe DeVoe combine their hip-hop immersed rhymes with a mixture of R&B, soul, funk, and pop music.

As they proved on the 17th, they are not just a tremendous part of music history, but they still know how to get a crowd going.

Cove Haven’s Champagne Palace Nightclub was bustling with enthusiasm as fans congregated to unite in this experience. Bell Biv DeVoe came on stage at around 9 P.M.; the entire audience rose to their feet, applauding wildly.

Bell Biv DeVoe performed their hit songs “Do Me,” “She’s Dope,” “BBD” (I thought it was me), “When will I see you smile again?” and ending it with “Poison.” Midway through their first song, the crowd was untamed, to say the least.

Fans were standing on top of their seats, screaming at the top of their lungs (surprisingly in tune), and throwing their hands up in the air almost simultaneously.

Bell Biv DeVoe continued to keep the crowd on their feet as they welcomed them on stage and included the fans in every aspect of their performance.

There was a lot of screaming, a lot of dancing, and just about everything a successful concert experience could possibly entail.

“It was like nothing I had ever seen before; one minute everyone was waiting in their seats, and, the next thing I knew, I could not even see the stage anymore,” said Cove Haven’s bartender Mark Wolff, “they really succeeded in working the crowd; everyone loved it.”

The energetic atmosphere and the adoring fans combined made it a night that showed Bell Biv DeVoe is not putting it to rest any time soon; it is safe to say time is on their side.
