What’s better to kick off spring break than a gruesome horror flick? It’s the realization that the film is based on assembled footage about two psychotic killers, who just happen to be brothers.

The provocative film “Infliction” is screening at the Pocono Community Theater on Sunday, March 16, at 7 PM at 88 South Courtland Street in East Stroudsburg.

It was produced by the award-winning filmmaker Jack Thomas Smith, best known for his psychological thriller “Disorder,” which he wrote, produced, and directed.

“Infliction” is considered a nightmare-inducing film which details a string of murders that two brothers committed in North Carolina and the twisted truth behind their murder spree.

“Working on ‘Infliction’ left me troubled and haunted. It left me thinking about people’s actions, or lack thereof, and the inevitable domino effect. We all walk our own path in life, which shapes and defines us. What happens to us today, good or bad, will affect generations to come,” says Jack Thomas Smith.

After the screening, Jack Thomas Smith will be holding a Q & A session.

“Infliction” will hit the big screen in select theaters come the spring and summer of 2014.

Admission for the film is $8.00 at the door, which can also be bought in advance at www.inflictiontapes.com.

This spring break in North Carolina is not just the college student party scene, but a place of murder and mystery that can be experienced without leaving the Poconos. Don’t hit the road to have fun in the sun this week. Hit the theater — if you dare.
