The J Simpson Africa Lodge No.628 of Free and Accepted Masons and the Interfraternity Council of East Stroudsburg University have partnered for their first time in order to help serve the children in the surrounding areas.

All of East Stroudsburg University’s Fraternities have agreed to partake in this event in order to help serve the community.

These Fraternities include Theta Chi, Lambda Sigma Upsilon, Kappa Delta Rho, Delta Chi, Sigma Pi, Kappa Alpha Psi, and Phi Sigma Kappa.

They are looking for donations of a fuzzy sort – stuffed animals.

In their inaugural “Teddy’s for Tykes” teddy bear drive, they are seeking new and gently used stuffed animals to donate to children who are in distress upon the arrival of local first responders.

The donated plush toys will be collected from now until early May.

When the drive concludes all of the collected donations will be then presented to local EMS, Firefighters and Police Departments.

These individuals will keep the stuffed animals in their trunks in order to restore a smile on a young child’s face.

Help restore the smile on the face of a local child in need by donating a teddy bear, today!

Donations can be made by dropping off a stuffed animal on campus in the Greek Affairs office, located on the top floor of the University Center.

The Greek Affairs office is host to all seven Fraternities on campus as well as the Six Sororities and can be found in between the Student Senate office and the Career and Professional Development Office.

If you’re off campus and around the town, you can find donation drop offs at Pocono Medical Center, YMCA of Stroudsburg, The Stroud Mall, Shop Rite in Stroudsburg, The American Legion of Stroudsburg, and Five and Below located off Route 80 in Bartonsvlle.
