Stroudsburg Family Needs Your Help

By Robert Rinehart

A fire broke out in a home on North Second Street in Stroudsburg on August 25, 2014 around 1:00 PM. One person was home when the blaze started, and sustained minor injuries. The house belonged to an ESU Greek fraternity brother and his family. They lost everything.

All of Greek life banded together the following day to start a food and clothing drive for the family. The Greek Affairs office is accepting donations of new or gently used men and women’s clothing. They are also accepting any nonperishable or canned foods.Additionally, a GoFundMe account has been set up so that the family will have some financial support during these troubling times. To donate, go to http://www.gofundme.com/dlbrs0.

All three of these outlets will continue to accept donations throughout the semester. Everyone is urged to donate. This family needs help and we should be there to support them.

ESU is a small school but can do big things if we put our minds to it. Let’s band together and show this family
that they are not alone and help is on the way. There will be a table set up outside the Union on Thursday collecting donations.
