Late Night Fun on Campus

It is much harder to find something to do on campus at night, especially when the weather is as crazy as it’s been.

Tonight, from 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM, there will be many fun activities in the Mattioli Rec Center. Late Night at the Rec will feature something for everyone!

A Stuff-a-Plush station will be set up for students that want to make their own stuffed animal. This isn’t any plain plush; the fluffy friends you will be stuffing will be made just in time for Valentine’s Day! Each newly stuffed animal will come with a shirt that reads, “Someone at ESU loves you.”

If you plan on coming to Late Night at the Rec just for this event, act fast! The first 200 people in the door will receive a ticket to participate in this event, and from past experiences, they go quickly!

TRON laser tag will also be set up! Teams of 4 against 4 will be able to compete with one another by tagging targets and their opponents with infraredemitting targeting devices. After a victory, the winning team will be glowing with pride.

If you’re not into stuffing animals or glowing the night away, karaoke will be set up for those brave students that are up for tackling R.E.S.P.E.C.T. by Aretha Franklin. The more comedic students can prepare to have a run at Anaconda by Nicki Minaj.

If chill lawn games or board games are more your style, you will be happy to see them set up for you in the Rec Center as well!

“Students should expect to have a good time in an on-campus, easy to access, and friendly ESU Rec Center facility,” Chris Bello, Assistant Director of Student Activities, said.

Just reading about all of this fun makes you hungry doesn’t it? Can you imagine how hungry or thirsty you’ll feel when you’re actually partaking in these fun events? Lucky for you fun-seeking students, there will be snacks, drinks and even desserts! The foods that will be served include Buffalo wings, hoagies, a fresh fruit tray, cookies, iced tea, lemonade, and coffee!

Craving all of those foods and drinks now? Save your money and go enjoy some for free at Late Night at the Rec!
