Hop, Skip, and a Jump Away from Cafe Duet

Tucked in the corner of Courthouse Square in Stroudsburg is a tiny café with big flavor and warmth.

Finding a small space to get away from campus can be a little difficult for some students, especially commuters, but Café Duet serves up the best place to hide away.

Whether you need a place to study, catch up on reading, write, or simply get away from the hustle and bustle of campus, this café proves time and time again that solitude is nice every once in a while.

When you turn the glass doorknob and walk onto the wooden floors the warmth fills your lungs.

The smell of coffee wafts over the long wooden counter, and you’re greeted by a smiling face ready to make you feel better with food and a drink.

Stools line the front windows overlooking Courthouse Circle as you sip your coffee or tea. The back of the café is intimate and close knit.

A few tables, a bench with little round tables on old fashion black wrought iron legs. And when the warm sun decides to descend upon Stroudsburg, the outdoor seating is tucked in a cozy, secret garden like atmosphere.

Renovations are currently underway to extend that back for even more seating because they have had a flooding of new customers.

Not only does Café Duet serve a multitude of clean, fresh, and flavorful teas, but they also have one of the best places to get an affordable and delicious cup of coffee.

Owners, Maria and Daniel Bickart swear by Stumphouse coffee, and it won’t break your wallet. All their medium sized drinks on the menu are under $5, unlike Starbucks which can be well beyond that for the same amount of coffee or espresso.

Café Duet also caters to the traditional and unique taste buds in the area.

With the rise of vegans and vegetarians, you’ll be sure to find something that your meat eaters and leafy green lovers with both love.

They always have a “suuuper fresh” salad and soup of the day as well as their classic sandwiches which are always on the menu.

The flavors surprise you with salads like the red pear and spring garden mix with a bite of fresh ground pepper and red wine vinegar, and the creamy warm butternut squash soups warms your whole body with a bit of heat and a little kick, and a thick slice of Italian bread tops it off with comfort.

Because nothing says “comfy” like warm soup, bread, and a fresh salad.

With a bite of a salad, a gulp of the hot soup, or a sip of tea or coffee on a freezing cold day, you’ll be sure to leave with a happy stomach and warm heart.

Always greeted with a smile and incredible generosity and care, you’ll be sure to get all your school work done and feel good about filling your body with the freshest, healthiest food and drinks.
