Lions, tigers and bears! Oh my!

Are you an animal lover? Is your favorite animal something wild? Well, this trip from ESU will make you roar.

On April 18, East Stroudsburg University is hosting a trip for students and guests to visit the Bronx Zoo.

The bus to the zoo will be departing from the Science and Technology Building at 9:00 AM, and will return to ESU at 5:30 PM. This will give everyone approximately six hours at the zoo.

Tickets for this adventurous trip went on sale on Monday, March 23. The tickets are $25 for students and $40 for guests.

The tickets include transportation as well as your park ticket, and they also include all extra exhibits or shows at the zoo that would normally cost extra.

The Bronx Zoo is 265 acres of wildlife habitats and attractions. Their popular exhibits include the Tiger Mountain, Himalayan Highlands, Congo Gorilla Forrest, and World of Reptiles.

Other than walking paths and viewing the wild animals, there are other fun events that take place.

There is a 4-D theater, a bug carousel, camel rides, penguin feedings, sea lion feedings, and a wild Asia monorail safari ride.

Some of the animals in the Bronx Zoo include: lions, American bison, aquatic birds, baboons, bears, birds of prey, butterflies, giraffes, gorillas, sea lions, tigers, reptiles and more!

For more information on this trip, contact Amelia Rae Raser of CAB, or anyone associated with CAB. Amelia’s email is araser@live.esu.edu.

For more information on the zoo, and to get a detailed schedule for the day of the trip, visit the Zoo’s website at: bronxzoo.com.

If this trip sounds like the right kind of adventure for you, buy your tickets and go bond with the sea lions, and talk to the penguins!
