Hawthorn Hotties Return

As the semester comes to an end, and workloads increase, college students could use a little distraction.

And what better distraction is there than heading out to see one of the Hawthorn Hotties’ famous performances?

The Hawthorn Hotties are putting on a show Tuesday, April 26.

The show will be performed in the Albeloff Center for the Performing Arts at 8 p.m.

The premier exotic dancing group has created a way to raise money for an incredibly important cause, while also providing an entertaining show for their audience.

The Hawthorn Hotties are “stripping cancer away one cell at a time,” according to their twitter account.

The “Magic Mike” inspired performance has been a hit in the past, creating great anticipation for the upcoming show.

Students who have gone to previous shows rave about how entertaining it was.

“It was a really great show, it was a full house and if you didn’t go, you definitely missed out” said Rachael Swartz, ESU senior, in regards to last year’s Hawthorn Hotties performance.

“I would definitely recommend people try to go.”

According to ESU’s event description, “you will receive info on safe sex, while [having] the best night of your semester!”

An added bonus to the event is that all proceeds go straight to the American Cancer Society (ACS).

According to their official website, the ACS “saves lives by helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back.”

So by buying a ticket to the show you’re basically just doing your part to donate to charity, and what’s better than that?

Sharon Husbands, the host of the upcoming show, ensures that those in attendance will have a great time.

Husbands has hosted several other events on ESU’s campus, including this year’s Wild, Wild Drag Show during homecoming.

Tickets to the show were available in the Union earlier in April, but if you missed the chance to buy a ticket, don’t worry!

Any remaining tickets will also be sold at the door to the event, which is open to the public.

Tickets are $3 for general admission, and $5 for VIP.

For a night of fun, while supporting a good cause, head out to the Hawthorn Hotties’ upcoming show!
