The members of the Delta Chi fraternity strive to better the community and campus every semester.

Delta Chi has received gold status for their work in the community, raising money for philanthropy, their involvement in campus activities, and academic achievement.

Last semester, the members individually exceeded over 20 community service hours.

Some of the events included street clean ups, Relay for Life, setting up for the Panic! At The Disco concert, and participation in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Walk.

Delta Chi has also received recognition for their participation in raising money for their philanthropy, The V Foundation.

The V Foundation is a cancer research funding organization. It was founded by ESPN along with Jim Valvano in 1993.

Their ultimate goal is the eradication of cancer.

The Delta Chi organization is the second largest contributor to The V Foundation right behind ESPN.

“As a fraternity, we strive to get the gold status and we take a lot of pride in our excelling grades and all the work we do for our community and campus.

We even got higher grades than the ESU male average,” says Ryan Williams, last semesters accreditation chair.

The chapter plans on continuing to strive for the gold status for many semesters to come.
