Sunday, Sept. 18 was TV’s biggest night, the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards. The biggest stars were out and dressed to impress.

The leading lady in emerald green, Sarah Paulson, finally won her Emmy after being nominated for six years in a row. Paulson won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for her work in “The People v O.J. Simpson.”

On the red carpet, she dazzled in a deep v cut, head to toe embroidery Prada gown. After her inevitable win, Paulson told the press she “felt a tremendous sense of self-inflicted responsibility in taking on the role.”

Kerry Washington was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie in “Confirmation.” The 39-year-old star embraced her baby bump in a black, strapless cut-out gown by Brandon Maxwell, paired with a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch and Fred Leighton jewels.

Kristen Bell wore a pink chiffon floral gown with a plunging V-neck by Zuhair Murad paired with Brian Wood sandals. Though Bell wasn’t nominated for any particular category in the Academy, she was recognized by E News as a best-dressed candidate.

Empire star, Taraji P. Henson, was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Henson took to Instagram before hitting the red carpet and debuted two of her Edie Parker’s signature monogram clutches with her initials “T.P.H.”

Her caption read, “Can’t wait to slay the Emmy Carpet w/ these Custom Bad Boys!!!”

Henson arrived on the red carpet in a refreshing yellow minimal Vera Wang gown. The silk crepe dress had two modern thigh high slits on the side.

When asked about Henson’s red carpet style, her stylist Jason Bolden said “We always add an once or that touch of classic edge and rock, who she is to her core and funk if you will.”

As a presenter, Henson decided to switch up her look and proceeded with an outfit change. Staying true to Vera Wang, Henson opted for a long sleeved sequin dress paired with Jimmy Choo sandals.

This year’s nominees and winners took home a sense of pride and acknowledgement. The stars showed grace and humility and had an exceptional sense of style.

Audiences are looking forward to how next year awards can surpass this 68th Prime time Emmy Awards.
