East Stroudsburg University’s annual Family Weekend begins tomorrow, Sept. 30 and will continue until Oct. 2.

The entire weekend is jam-packed with various activities and events for students and parents.

Activities for tomorrow consist of open class sessions in which parents can attend select university classes, as well as campus tours for children, both taking place at 2 p.m.

The women’s soccer team will be playing against California University of Pennsylvania at Eiler-Martin Stadium at 1 p.m.

In the evening, there will be tours of ESU’s wildlife and natural history museum from 6 to 8 p.m. and planetarium shows at 6:30, 7, and 7:30 p.m. in the lower level of the Hoeffner Science & Technology Center.

The women’s volleyball team will play against California University of Pennsylvania at 7 p.m. in the Koehler Fieldhouse.

From 7 to 9 p.m. there will be kid-friendly activities in Hemlock Suites.

On Saturday, Oct. 1 there will be a classic car show provided by Monroe County Cruisers from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the College Circle.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. a Family Brunch will be held at Dansbury Commons, as well as a decorating your own cupcake activity.

There will be various activities on the Linden Quad between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. such as bounce houses and face painting for kids, sales of handcrafted bowls to benefit the Empty Bowls movement, information from the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau, a 3-D printing demonstration provided by Art + Design faculty, a Mexican Bingo provided by the commuter council, as well as photo ops provided by Warrior Elite student ambassadors.

In the University Center, there will be the opportunity to make your own novelty street sign, bingo hosted by the University Ridge in Center Court at 7 p.m. and Family Feud from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. also in Center Court.

At 12 p.m. the men’s soccer team will play California University of Pennsylvania at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

In the evening, there will be a family dinner at Dansbury Commons from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Lastly, the football team will be playing Cheyney University at Eiler-Martin Stadium at 6:05 p.m.

On Sunday, Oct. 2, Stony Acres is providing a special in which those who registered by Sept. 28 on the Stony Acres website can participate in their Ropes Course for a $10 fee that includes lunch.

Throughout the weekend, the University Bookstore is also open for browsing from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday.
