Everybody wants a beach body, but are you willing to work for it?

According to healthiergeneration.org, nearly one in three children in the United States are overweight or obese, putting them at risk for serious health problems.

This should not be happening because there are a number of ways to stay fit and have a well-balanced diet. I know it can be really hard, but it is not impossible.

By choosing to eat fruits and vegetables or yogurts in place of chips and candy, not only will you have more energy, but you will also feel better and not so tired.

“Eating fruit can keep you feeling healthy and give you energy throughout the day. In addition to calories, fruits also provide vitamin C and antioxidants that are important for your energy levels,” Livestrong.com states.

Bananas, strawberries, pineapples and other fruits are a delicious snack to eat instead of candy because their sugars are good for you and they are just as sweet.

Eating healthy is only the first step to reaching the goal of having a beach body; you have to get up and get out!

Exercise does not always have to be dreadful it can actually be really fun and it can keep skin healthy.

By gathering a group of friends and a lot of water bottles, you can go to the Mattioli Recreation Center and enjoy all the fun workout sessions that they have to offer such as Zumba and other group classes.

This class is really entertaining and can be even more enjoyable with friends, and the best part is that you do not even realize that you are burning calories.

Having motivation can also keep your eyes on the prize.

Motivating yourself will give you the drive to remain focused on your personal weight loss goal.

Setting a timed schedule to let you know what you have to do can keep you on track.

If you abide by your schedule, you can lose the unwanted weight in no time.

Once you create a meal and exercise plan, you can work on confidence. Confidence builds character and will help you remain the person that you are.

Just because you lost weight does not mean you have to be model skinny and change your personality.

Lose the weight to make you happy so you that you are comfortable when looking in the mirror because staying true to you is all that you can do.
