ESU’s field hockey team shut out the Bloomsburg University Huskies 2-0 on ESU’s Whitenight Field late Tuesday afternoon.

In doing so, the Warriors avenged an early season loss to the Huskies. Bloomsburg beat ESU 3-0 in a non-conference game on Sept. 6.

It was a back-and-forth game.

ESU’s first goal came in the 14th minute. Sophomore midfielder Paige Harrold scored from an assist by junior midfielder Sydney McCarthy.

In the 26th minute, senior back Emily Howell scored on an unassisted goal for her sixth goal of the season.

ESU outshot Bloomsburg 20-8 for the game.

The Warrior defense was outstanding. Senior goalkeeper Danielle Ard only had to make two saves to post her seventh shutout of the season.

The Warriors (9-3, 3-1) will travel to Millersville to play the Marauders this Saturday. Millersville is undefeated in PSAC play.
