On the afternoon of Oct. 29, the ESU Warriors hosted West Chester University’s Golden Rams, where the Warriors fell in a 41-14 final score.

The Warriors struck first on the opening drive. Tailback Robert Healy rushed into the end zone to score the first touchdown of the game.

WCU answered right back with a touchdown of their own on their first possession.

Both teams would punt back-and-forth until WCU scored a touchdown with 10 seconds left in the first half.

After WCU missed their extra point, the game was 13-7 at the half.

In the second half, WCU received the ball and drove down the field and carried it in for a touchdown making the score 20-7.

In the fourth quarter, WCU ran for another touchdown to make the game 27-7.

The Warriors then scored their second touchdown of the game with a 46-yard reception from Javier Buffalo making the score 27-14 with 10:12 left in the fourth quarter. This was the last time ESU put up any points.

WCU would go on to score another rushing touchdown followed by an interception that was returned for a touchdown making the final score 41-14.

The Warriors couldn’t answer the Golden Rams’ running game. ESU’s defense gave up a total of 386 yards on the ground alone.

Despite the loss, ESU tailback Robert Healy tied the school’s single-season rushing record.

ESU (4-5, 2-4) will host Lock Haven (3-6, 3-3) on Saturday in their final home game of the season.
