We all have problems in our lives that we sometimes can’t cope with in the most positive ways.

Some are worse than others, but the reality of it is the fact that we never realize that it’s nothing but pent up emotion that needs to be released.

One of my favorite sayings is ͞freedom of expression ESU provides great ways for your feelings to been seen, expressed and (if negative) then resolved.

One of my favorite forms would be through dance and ESU has four amazing programs to help you along with any problems you may be facing.

Each dance group has its own personal way of going about things when it comes to the art of dance.

We have our fierce step team showing what they got through every beat and rhythm.

We have our fierce dance team who represent us during our sports events.

We also have a calmer and peaceful dance setting with the contemporary dancers of ESU.

Last but certainly not least, we have our University dance company run by our one and only Dr. Gibbons.

Each dance group has its own unique style and way of doing things, but when it comes down to it they’re all about freedom of expression in doing what you love.

I honestly believe the creative and performing arts can provide a sense of confidence and stability that no medication or therapist could ever provide you.

If you’re looking to join any of these amazing groups, then you can look forward to their audition process (to be announced) around the first three weeks of our spring semester here at ESU.

If you ever need any assistance in expressing who you are then the fine arts building (at the top of the hill near Kemp Library) will be the perfect place for you to go.

Here is the saying I always live by, “I am who I am͟.”
