Monday night at 10 p.m. VH1 aired their newest show “Snoop and Martha’s Potluck Dinner Party.”

It probably goes without saying that the show stars Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart, two very different individuals who have apparently become very good friends.

The show was billed by VH1 as “a half-baked evening of cocktails, cooking, conversation, and fun where nothing is off limits,” but I feel like that really sells it short.

If you haven’t had the privilege of being subjected to my Pandora playlists, you are probably unaware of how much I love Snoop Dogg.

So when I heard that there was going to be a show starring Snoop, and he was going to cook and be accompanied by Martha, I could barely contain my excitement.

I knew that this show had loads of potential, and I hoped beyond hope that it would not let me down.

“Snoop and Martha’s Potluck Dinner Party” totally blew my expectations out of the water.

Firstly, Snoop began by making cocktails for himself and Martha and saying a toast: “You got Long Beach on the left, Bedford on the right. No matter how this contest goes down, I’m taking that chicken belt home tonight.”

With that the contest began and the guests were introduced.

Part of the fun of the show is that every episode has guest stars who join the party to help Snoop and Martha cook.

What I didn’t expect was the range of people they would have and the number of people in just the first episode.

Without giving too much away, Seth Rogan and Snoop competed against Martha and Wiz Khalifa in a fried chicken wing cook off.

Rogan himself even said “This is the weirdest group of people who have ever been on a stage together.”

If you don’t think that group of people is the best thing to ever be on television all at once, just know that Ice Cube visited later in the episode to be their unbiased judge and determine the winner.

I would like to know how I can go about getting tickets to attend a filming of the Party, because it looked like the audience was also dining on Snoop and Martha’s wings.

While they sampled each other’s fried chicken wings, Snoop, Martha and their guests played a round of “two thighs and a truth” otherwise known as two lies and a truth.

Essentially, each person told the group three things about themselves, two lies and one true, and the group had to guess which one was true.

Spoiler alert: Martha has been struck by lightning three times, Snoop excels at calculus, Ice went to architectural drafting school, Wiz was a military brat and James Franco once painted a nude Seth Rogan.

Overall, the show was incredible and I am so glad it exists. I am not crazy about Martha Stewart, but with Snoop and company around she turns into the mom trying to be cool hanging out with her kids and that is priceless.

And if none of that is enough, watch it for the sole purpose of hearing Wiz Khalifa’s ridiculous laugh.
