1. “How I Met Your Mother”

Told through flashbacks, this nine season-show follows Ted Mosby as he recounts his years searching for love and meeting his children’s mother.

Every episode focuses on each of Ted’s relationships leading up to the one who finally becomes his wife. The crazy antics and ups and downs of Ted’s four main friends turns the show into more than just a search for love.

Although the finale has mixed reviews, the show is a great binge for anyone seeking an interesting comedy.

2. “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”

This show follows a group of friends including twin siblings Dee and Dennis, and their long-time friends Mac and Charlie. Together they own and run a neighborhood bar.

Throughout 11 seasons, this gang of underachievers create elaborate plans and conspire against each other in ways that usually end badly. But all the horribly planned ideas they go through with, usually for personal gain, are hilarious to watch.

3. “New Girl”

This comedy tells the story of Jessica Day, a recently single and homeless girl who moves in with Nick, Schmidt, Winston (and occasionally Coach) after she finds her long-term boyfriend cheating on her.

Follow their antics as a small loft family through fights, drinking games, new jobs and life changes. Their tight friendship is not only hilarious, but also very heartfelt, making the show perfect for a binge.

4. “Parks and Recreation”

With seven seasons, this show shares a glimpse into the lives of the parks and recreation department workers in Pawnee, Indiana.

The group of employees shares a strange friendship/family-like love for each other, but that never stops them from making fun of each other, tricking each other and fighting.

Each person is completely different from the rest, but together they make a great and hilarious team. There is never a dull moment between work for the department, crazy political and personal stunts and their own personal troubles.

5. “The Office”

This take on the British comedy of the same name depicts the everyday lives of office employees for a paper company named Dunder Mifflin.

In a similar fashion as “Parks and Recreation,” this show follows the lives of the employees as individuals and as group that must work together, although they usually do not.

This show has everything from office romances to pranks involving Jell-O and office supplies, and will keep anyone interested for nine seasons.
