Winter is right around the corner and bringing with it the 28th annual performance by Voices of Triumph (VOT), a gospel choir at ESU.

They will be introducing their latest themed production, “A Night to Remember.”

Asia M. Burnett, the Public Relations Chair of VOT, told reporters the performance “Is to honor all of the loved ones we have lost throughout 2016.”

The concert will take place on Dec. 3 at 5 p.m. in the Cecilia S. Cohen Recital Hall located in the Fine and Performing Arts Building.

According to Burnett, the members of the choir hope to use the songs to express their emotions to the audience.

She later stated that the concert will be a form of release for the members as well as their families and friends.

The choir typically holds practice once a week until a week prior to their final performance, where they add in an additional three practices.

“This semester’s show will definitely be an emotionally charged one,” said Burnett.
