Men’s Basketball team beat the Millersville University Marauders 92-58 in front of the Koehler Krazies at the newly renovated Koehler Fieldhouse.

This game was effectively decided in the first minute-and-a-half after the Warriors took a strong early lead. Millersville had to call a quick timeout after ESU raced out to an 11-1 score.

The Warriors continued to have their way with the Marauders and cruised to a 41-22 lead at halftime.

In the second half, ESU led by as many as 37 points before settling for a comfortable 92-58 win.

The Warriors were led by their two stalwarts this season. Senior forward Rasheed Moore had 11 points and four rebounds, and redshirt sophomore Chris Bing had 10 points and eight rebounds to pace ESU.

The Warriors also had three players who scored nine points, and two players who scored eight points.

The team shot 53.8 percent from the field and 54.5 percent from behind the three-point shooting arc. Therefore, it was a balanced scoring attack for ESU.

The key statistic was the number of steals. ESU’s relentless press defense forced 13 steals compared to only two for Millersville.

The Warriors would convert many of those steals into points. The Warriors had a 25-15 edge in points off turnovers over Millersville.

ESU also dominated the paint. The Warriors had 52 points in the paint compared to only 28 for the Marauders.

Redshirt sophomore forward Josh Williams suffered an apparent right leg / foot injury in this game. Williams was helped off the court by his teammates, but he kept his right leg elevated as he was escorted off the court.

The Warriors currently sit in third place in the PSAC East and have already clinched a berth in the postseason PSAC Tournament.

ESU (16-6, 14-3) will play the West Chester University Golden Rams at Hollinger’s Field House at West Chester on Saturday.
