If you’re bored or looking for some fun activities to do, check out these upcoming events on or around campus.

• Thursday, March 23 at 7 p.m.-9 p.m. in Stroud 113- A Path Appears: Human Trafficking in the United States- Join the ESU Women’s Studies program and the Monroe County Commission for Women in this event that explores the growing issue that is human trafficking. A short film about human trafficking will be shown, followed by a discussion about this problem. Detective Kim Lippincott will be present to provide information and the resources used to fight human trafficking.

• Friday, March 24 at 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in Fine Arts Lobby- Entrepreneurship Workshop – This conference will celebrate ESU entrepreneurs and their accomplishments. The event will also help ESU community members learn and expand their entrepreneurship goals through presentations and hands-on exercises.

• Monday, March 27-Friday, March 31 at 11 a.m.-4 p.m. in Madelon Powers Art Gallery- Student Art Association Annual Juried Student Art Exhibit-ESU students show their creativity through this exhibit that showcases several different forms of art. This year’s jurors were President Welsh and artist Stephen Washington.

• Monday, March 27 at 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. in Beers Lecture Hall- Financial Aid and Zimbar Open Forum- Student Senate’s Enrollment Management committee is giving students the opportunity to come and ask any questions or state any concerns they may have regarding financial aid.

• Tuesday, March 28 at 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. in Stroud 117- Hearing Loss: The Lived Experience- Come and hear about students living life with hearing loss, there will be a brief presentation about hearing loss. Questions and answers from the panel of four students with hearing deficits will follow. The event will be captioned; contact Susan Dillmuth-Miller at sdmiller@esu.edu to request sign language interpretation.

• Wednesday, March 29 at 6 p.m.-7 p.m. in Stroud 117- OMA Talks: Women and Politics- During this ongoing series, there will be a discussion about women and politics and why there should be more women at policy making tables.

• Thursday, March 30 at 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m. in Stroud 118- Federal Grant Opportunities that Work for ESU- A discussion on federal grant money that would best suit ESU, for scholarships and undergraduate research. ESU faculty that attended a Council on Undergraduate Research conference and OSPR will present a variety of grants that are best suited for ESU.

• Friday, March 31 7:30 p.m.-10 p.m. in Abeloff- The Amazing Magic of Eric Wilzig- This young magician with many accolades will put on a free show for the students of ESU and members of the community, sponsored by the ESU Campus Activities Board. Wilzig appeared on “Americas Got Talent” and was praised by both the judges and host. Come see this rising star put on a magical show.
