The Residence Hall Administration, or RHA, held their Annual Trick Or Treating event on the main quad by Shawnee and Minsi traditional halls This past Wednesday, Oct. 25.

From 5 to 7 p.m. neighboring elementary school children were invited to participate in this special Halloween event.

The trick or treating took place in the residence halls on campus, giving the elementary grade students an experience very similar to what they would experience in their own neighborhood.

Besides handing our candy, the RHA provided the children with Halloween themed face painting, an inflatable bounce house and a variety of festive music that was played by ESU’s very own 90.3 WESS.

Mark Davies of the RHA commented that the campus environment allowed the children to “have fun in a safe way because door-to-door trick or treating can be a little bit dangerous. It’s a safe alternative.”

RHA also hosts a annual Easter Egg hunt for local children in the Spring. All events are free and open to the public but children must be accompanied by an adult.
