Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the Poconos

St. Patrick’s Day is a big deal on most college campuses.

While the holiday celebrates Irish culture, people use the day as an excuse to drink.

The Poconos is home to a few Irish pubs that locals can enjoy with their friends.

Here is a list of four Irish pubs to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

  1. Rudy’s Tavern

“Its dark wood walls, checkered tile floors, classic arcade games and hometown feel make Rudy’s Tavern the perfect spot to watch a game, celebrate with friends and family or just kick back and enjoy happy hour,” according to their website.

They serve food from pizza and hot sandwiches to popcorn and candy.

They serve over 40 different alcoholic beverages.

Live music will be played by Tom Graham from 7 to 10 p.m., according to their website.

The pub is located at 90 Washington St, East Stroudsburg and is open until 1 a.m.

2. Flood’s

“We offer a great selection of draft and bottled beer, and great food at a great price,” according to their website.

They offer 25 beers on top and 100 brands of beer from across the country and around the world, according to their website.

They serve food from appetizers to burgers.

The bar is located at 732 Main St, Stroudsburg and is open until 1 a.m.

3. Siamsa Irish Pub

“Siamsa was built in Ireland and brought across the sea and reassembled here in the Poconos,” according to their website.

They serve food from wings and burgers to classic Irish dishes like corned beef and cabbage.

They have 30 beers on tap, according to their website.

The pub is located at 636 Main St in Stroudsburg and is open until 2 a.m.

4. Failte

They offer a large selection of IPA’s, Stouts and Ciders with samples available at 4 for $7, according to their website.

They serve steak, seafood, and chicken with a few vegetarian options. Irish dishes include shepherd’s pie and chicken curry.

The pub is located at 1492 PA-739, Dingmans Ferry and is open until 2 a.m.
