Stroud Hall is now open to students and has been deemed safe by the Bomb Squad and University Police following a three and a half hour long investigation today.
At around 1:40 p.m., University Relations issued a campus-wide email alerting students that Stroud Hall would be closed due to police activity.
The investigation was the result of a suspicious package being reported, according to University Relations.
The area was off-limits to students as the investigation continued but has since reopened.
The University Police has declined to comment so far.
Stay tuned for a follow-up story in our first issue of the semester on Feb. 9.
