ESU Reacts to Sabrina Carpenter’s “Man’s Best Friend”

Sabrina Carpenter, an MTV and Grammy award winning artist, recently released her seventh album, “Man’s Best Friend,” on Aug. 29, featuring 12 new songs.

The successful 26-year-old songwriter and actress recently performed one of her new album songs “Tears” at the Video Music Awards (VMAs), where she danced and sung her heart out to the crowd introducing her new album, “Man’s Best Friend.”

The MTV Video Music Award for Album of the Year 2025 went to Carpenter. This is her fourth MTV award in the past 2-years, adding to her rise in popularity within the music industry.

Carpenter is known for her “iconic concerts,” where she dresses in her “sexy” costume, as well as her fierce dance moves. She makes her concerts interactive, along with unforgettable memories for her fans.

Alex Martocci, an ESU student and fan of Carpenter, has her own look on the new album.

“I think it’s a good album. Her music has always been good, from when she started back in 2014, but I like the new style she doing where her music is strictly just made for fun. My favorite song on this track is ‘Go Go Juice,’” said Martocci.

“In my opinion I believe Sabrina Carpenter’s new release ‘Mans Best Friend’ is an amazing album. I love every single song on the track list, and it is a no skip track list for me. My favorite song from the album definitely has to be ‘Go Go Juice.’ In conclusion, I believe that she released and amazing and fun pop album for everyone to enjoy,” Said Mia Correl, an ESU student and a Carpenter fan.

Her catchy songs keep her fans attached and intrigued even before the new album released. Roughly over a year ago, Carpenter came out with an album tittle “Short n’ Sweet,” this was the album for summer 2024. With the top hits of “Espresso,” “Please Please Please” and “Taste.”

Not only is Carpenter an artist, but she is also an actress, she played in many Disney shows and movies. “Girl Meets World,” is the show that is mostly associated with her name. Other films are “Tall Girl,” “Work it” and “Clouds.”

Carpenter happens to be from Quakertown, Pa. which is roughly an hour from East Stroudsburg University. On Oct. 23, she will be performing in Pittsburgh for her “Short N’ Sweet” tour. If you are a fan, this would be a great opportunity to see her in concert in Pa.
