The Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) increases its coverage in the Pocono region with the opening of Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono Creek in Bartonsville, giving the people of Monroe County more access to health services. LVH-Pocono Creek is the Lehigh Valley Health Network and Jefferson Health’s third neighborhood hospital, and the first neighborhood location in Monroe County.

The new facility provides 24/7 healthcare service, and features a full-service Emergency Room and 10 inpatient beds for overnight care. LVHN hopes that the ER in this hospital will contribute to shorter waiting times and more efficient operations.

Outpatient imaging services like X-rays and CT scans are accessible at the new location.

Next to the hospital is the Health Center at Pocono Creek, which offers services that include (but not limited to) lab work, family medicine, and cardiac and vascular diagnostic testing.

“Providing convenient and expert health services like LVH-Pocono Creek is paramount to their work with serving the community, and Yehia calls it very important for the rapidly growing Pocono region, which the new facility will be serving,” said Jefferson Health President Baligh Yehia, M.D.

Other neighborhood hospitals part of LVHN and Jefferson Health include LVH-Macungie in Lehigh County and LVH-Gilbertsville in Montgomery County. A fourth facility in Hellertown, Northampton County, will open sometime in early 2027, according to LVHN.

LVH-Pocono Creek is located at 1328 Golden Slipper Road in Bartonsville, Pennsylvania. Health Center at Pocono Creek is across from the main hospital at 1326 Golden Slipper Road.

Both facilities are located off of PA State Route 611, which motorists can get to from the University by taking Exit 302 on Interstate 80 near the Crossroads shopping center and State Route 33, then traveling on route 611 north before making a left turn onto Golden Slipper Road.
