East Stroudsburg has launched a new authentic wave of Dominican food being offered at Que Lo Que Sabor Dominicano restaurant. The opening of this new family style restaurant offers a closeness for the warrior family here at ESU.
Que Lo Que is located on 93 Crystal St. The restaurant is about a 5-minute drive from the ESU campus and a 15-minute walk for students and local residents.
Que Lo Que is managed by married co-owners Alex and Isaac Rivera who opened up the business in July 2025.
“Business was going great for a while but it seemed to go downhill once college students came back from summer break,” said Isaac. “We want to bring in more diversity into our restaurant as a way to bring the community together.”
Alex and Isaac wanted to share their belief in bringing the community together by offering ESU students a complementary 10% off their entire bill. By presenting your ESU student ID, it will guarantee you that percentage off your bill.
Owners Alex and Isaac want to bring in the inclusivity and diversity of the community while also offering a glance into their Dominican culture through great food, music and service.
Upon walking into the restaurant, it offers a great upbeat vibe with island aesthetics to view while enjoying your meal. The decor is vibrant from the inside-out. Music is played indoors and outdoors giving customers a full experience of Dominican culture.
To add to the great things offered at Que Lo Que, you can also bring your own beverage (BYOB). The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating that accommodates for small and large parties.
“The restaurant is right now made more for a family style experience but in the near future we will be adding a full bar offering more of a club scene also for our customers,” said Issac. “The plan is to be more family orientated during early hours and the late hours will be more of a club vibe.”
“I want to bring everyone together through great food and service. We are here to serve everyone and all are welcome,” said Alex.
