The internet has become attached to “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” an Amazon Prime Video show, with the most common question “Are you Team Conrad?” or “Team Jeremiah?”
This uprising show recently finished their final season and premiered the season finale Sep. 17, 2025.
Jenny Hann, the author and creator of this series, kept the audience on the edge of their seats with the cliff-hangers she has given the viewers.
This show consisted of a love triangle between Belly Conklin (played by Lola Tung) who is the main character of this series, Conrad Fisher (played by Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah Fisher (played by Gavin Casalegno), who are brothers in the series.
The show takes place in the summertime at “Cousins Beach,” where both Belly’s mom (the Coklins) and Conrad and Jeremiah’s mom (the Fishers), would bring their families together and spend the summer at the Fisher’s Massachusetts Beach house.
The mothers, who were best friends, would always say Belly is bound to marry either Conrad or Jeremiah. Belly eventually got to the dating age and can’t decide which brother she wants to date. Throughout the show, she went out with both of them at different times.

Midway through the show, Conrad and Jeremiah’s mom got diagnosed with cancer and died relatively quick after that. The families had gotten closer together, but also drifted apart as they got older. High and low moments took place throughout the series. Some viewers were impressed, and others weren’t.
A couple of ESU students stated their overall review of the show and which team they were classified on.
“Out of zero to five stars I would rate ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ a four out of five. While I absolutely loved this trilogy, I believed the last season was very rushed,” said Mia Correll. “I wish that they either would have had a few more episodes to wrap the show up or would have left out details that weren’t so important to make room for the main plot line. In the beginning of the show controversially I was team Jeremiah. As the show progressed and we got to know the characters better I quickly became a part of team Conrad, and I still currently am as the show came to an end.”
Another ESU student Kirsten had her review on “The Summer I Turned Pretty” series.
“My review on ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ was a 10/10. I loved how it was told by Belly, and it was her story about her love life and how it was a love triangle. I am team Conrad,” said Kirsten.

This show was addictive for many viewers and was a huge part of their summertime show-watching routine. Right after the season finale premiered, viewers got some exciting news. It was officially posted on social media that “The Summer I Turned Pretty” is coming out with a movie.
This was an unexpected announcement and made many fans excited. So, with that being said, at the end of the day, which team are you on? “Team Conrad” or “Team Jeremiah?”
