So, you’ve fallen behind on homework, face three tests coming next week, and your landlord still hasn’t deposited your rent?

Sounds to me like you’ve got a problem with stress, and trust me, I still struggle with balancing the stress in my life.

I do find grey hairs quite often these days.

I recently heard a phrase that makes me feel better about them. “The more grays you have, the more wisdom you have. Without stress, you cannot obtain wisdom.”  I thought that was pretty neat.

But do not fret. Stress can be handled in plenty different ways.

Personally, my stress relief management skills consist of the most relaxing things in life, and I find that they almost always lower my stress levels.

The first way to deal with stress is with heat.

This semester, we are battling crazy cold weather and blistering wind chill.

I bought an electric heating pad that I snuggle with under a nice blanket.

The heat allows my body and mind to relax while I’m cuddled up to a good book or great movie.

I also like to take lots of baths.

A bath with eucalyptus mint bubble bath soap is sincerely the greatest way to get clean and relax.

Those aromas are the perfect way to clear and clean your mind and thoughts.

Also, if you’re behind on reading, this is a great way to relax and catch up on homework.

I really enjoy practicing yoga when I wake up and before I go to sleep.

Yoga is fantastic for stretching and relaxing breathing methods.

If you’ve never practiced yoga, there are plenty of websites, YouTube videos, and posters you can obtain to learn different yoga position and help you relax.

Those are only a few of the many ways to relieve stress.

Unfortunately, as college students, we get the brunt of stress all at one in our semesters.

Fortunately, we have time to collect ourselves and focus on what’s ahead of us.
