On November 22 at 4:00 PM, the star of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” and Broadway’s “Wicked,” Ana Gasteyer, will perform live at the Pocono Community Theater.

Ana Gasteyer is best-known for her hilarious work on “Saturday Night Live,” where she created some of the most famous SNL characters, including middle school music teacher Bobbie Moughan-Culp, NPR radio host Margaret Jo, and Lilith Fair poetess Cinder Calhoun.

She has also performed impressions of Martha Stewart, Celine Dion, and Hillary Rodham Clinton.

On stage, she made her Broadway debut as Colombia in “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.”

Since then, she has starred as the misunderstood green-faced witch Elphaba in the musical “Wicked” on Broadway.

She originated the role of Elphaba for the Chicago production and earned a Joseph Jefferson Award nomination.

Gasteyer has other New York theater credits, many of which were Tony-nominated Broadway productions, including “The Royal Family,” Manhattan Theatre Club’s hit production of “Kimberly Akimbo,” and more.

Aside from Elphaba, one of her other big roles was Fanny Brice in “Funny Girl” at the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera.

In addition to her many roles in theater, Gasteyer has also been seen in a number of movies. Some include “Dare,” “Mean Girls,” and “The Women.”

She has also appeared in television shows such as “The Good Wife,” “Chuck,” and “Frasier.”
