Camelback Resort is opening their new doors of fun on Friday, May 1.

You all know Camelback for its giant outdoor waterpark, Camelback Beach, as well as its hills for skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing. Now, competing with Great Wolf’s indoor waterpark, Camelback has built an enormous, exotic 125,000 square-foot, multi-level waterpark!

Titled, Aquatopia, the waterpark defies seasonal weather constraints with 84-degree warm-weather water play year-round!

This exciting new feature to the Pocono Mountains includes 7 pools, 13 slides, including the Venus SlydeTrap – the first Aqua-Sphere-Manta slide of its kind in the world, as well as the Storm Chaser – the longest indoor water-coaster in the United States!

Not only are there slides and coasters, but there is an adventure river, an aqua-play structure with 5 age-appropriate zones and slides, nearly 100 water gadgets, and a 1,000 gallon dumping bucket!

Cowabunga Dude! For the daring surfers, there is an endless wave ride called the FlowRider, which is a simulator surfing and boogie board experience. No sharks allowed!

One of the best features is the Texlon transparent roofing system which was renovated by roofer Pocatello professionals. This allows swimmers to bask in the sun by day, and play under the moon and stars by night.

This monitored, fun, clean and safe environment is the perfect place to go on vacation with your friends and family.

For the adults of the family, and the 21-year-olds, Aquatopia features a swim-up bar, or your own reserved private cabana! Going up and down the giant water slides, surfing, or hitting the pools will tire you out!

Cabanas or beach chairs are available to you to take a rest in before venturing back into the pool under the night sky.

Sundays through Thursdays, the waterpark is open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. On the weekends, you’re able to enjoy an extra hour of fun because the park closes at 10:00 PM.

If you don’t want to visit the waterpark every day you’re there, an arcade filled with claw games, video games, rock climbing, a rope course, a bowling ally, and even laser tag is available for all to play.

Community members are anticipating the opening day. Sandy Moschak, living 10 minutes from the new waterpark, can’t wait to go check it out.

“I am so excited about this new water park. Great Wolf is the only thing we have up here that is fun for me to take my grandkids. I am excited for the buffet and game room too,” she said.

If you’re looking for something fun to do during the summer, book a night or two at Camelback resort and slide your way into a water-filled, fun day!
