The Sherman Theater, located at 524 Main Street, is Stroudsburg’s, and the surrounding areas’, source of live music and entertainment.
Celebrating 10 years of business, the Sherman has a variety of shows and events to offer the Pocono area.
Upcoming shows for the Sherman include Hyperglow (Ft. ft. DJ BL3ND & Fight Clvb), America’s largest touring EDM experience, on Saturday, Feb. 27, which will feature EDM Dance music, thrilling live performances and body painting along with an ultra violet lit ambiance.
The Eli Young Band, from Denton Texas, will showcase a country like, rock and roll infused performance on Thursday, March 3, followed by Paramount’s Laser Spectacular: Featuring the Music of Pink Floyd on Saturday, March 5.
Paramount’s Laser Spectacular is considered one of the longest running American laser light shows debuting in August 1986.
The American Pop Punk band, Mayday Parade, will perform on Wednesday, March 17, along with the rock bands, The Maine; from Arizona, and Better Off; from Tennessee, as the openers.
The following night will feature country music artist Phil Vassar, on Friday, March 18.
Vassar had his start in the 1990s and since then has achieved two ASCAP Songwriter of the Year awards as well as Billboard Country Songwriter of the Year award and he continues to tour and make music today.
On Saturday, March 19, the Boston electronic rock band, Wobblesauce, who was originally scheduled for Jan. 22, will perform as well.
Other Shows to be featured at Sherman in late March and early April are Golden Gate Wingmen, Juilliard Jazz: Artist Diploma Ensemble, The Wonder Years, Badfish; A Tribute to SUBLIME, Ghost and the Garcia Project.
Located next door to the Sherman Theatre, is the smaller, but more personal and equally as stimulating venue the Living Room.
Upcoming shows at the Living Room include Above The Mendoza, on Saturday, March 5, along with the bands Post-Grad, Jesse Baker, FM Waves and Brandon Glovich.
On Saturday, March 12, the band Suburban Murder will perform along with the bands Fair Enough, A-Town Sluts, Bicurious Slumber Party and Syd. On Saturday, March 26, the band Oddy will perform along with RBE Sauge & RBE, ABG Bari, Lil’ Xav and J. Quick.
