ESU’s 2016 Homecoming kicked off with its annual bonfire behind the pavilion on.
It started off with the university band playing loud and proud as the crowd cheered on waiting for more events to show.
There was delicious food that no one could resist.
There was funnel cake, popcorn, french fries and cotton candy for all the students and their guests to enjoy as they waited for the bonfire to begin.
The dance team showcased their fierce dance steps.
The crowd was wowed by their energetic moves that not only showed their dancing talent, but also showed how much fun they had while doing it.
The fun didn’t end there.
The cheerleaders were also there showing off their flexibility and keeping the crowd excited and pumped for the upcoming Warriors’ football game that Saturday night against Kutztown University.
Once the firefighters began to light the wood, everyone ran to the center to watch as everything burst into flames.
People were amazed as the hot flames expanded and flew into the air.
Firefighters even posed for pictures, enjoying being a part of ESU’s Homecoming as much as the students.
After the bonfire, a representative from the Rec Center announced the 2016 Homecoming Court.
Marcus Narcisse, Daniel A. Watson, Nasir Cooper Glenn Smith and Alyssa Simeone were all every excited to hear their names being called as homecoming royalty and were even more thrilled to receive their special crown.
Overall, it was a great night to be a warrior.
