ESU’s men’s soccer team beat the Seton Hill University Griffins 3-1 for its sixth victory of the season.
In the 19th minute, Seton Hill junior midfielder Tom Urquhart beat ESU sophomore goalkeeper Will Boerema for the first goal of the game.
The Warriors were down, but not for long. Literally three-and-a-half minutes later, junior midfielder Christian Bukowski scored an unassisted goal to tie the game going into intermission.
The second half of the game belonged to the Warriors.
In the 44th minute, Bukowski beat SHU’s goalkeeper for his second goal of the season.
Freshman sensation Irvin Zuzic scored his fifth goal of the season to put ESU ahead 3-1.
For the game, ESU outshot SHU 14-9.
However, SHU had six corner kicks to only three for ESU.
With the win, the Warriors currently sit in sixth place in the PSAC. The top six teams will qualify for the postseason PSAC Tournament.
The Warriors (6-6-1, 4-4-1) return to action this Saturday to play UDC at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
