ESU’s Women’s Soccer team battled to a scoreless tie in double-overtime on a rain-soaked field at Clarion University’s Memorial Stadium last Saturday night.

Statistically, the Warriors outplayed the Golden Eagles. ESU outshot Clarion 21-8 and held the edge in corner kicks 6-2, but the Warriors just could not find the back of the net.

Instead, Clarion junior goalkeeper Krista Mosi was the difference in the game. Mosi made 12 saves to preserve the tie for Clarion.

ESU senior goalkeeper Jules Harris made two saves in the second half for her 38th career shutout.

With the tie, the Warriors are the No. 3 seed in the PSAC Tournament. The Warriors played Slippery Rock in the quarterfinal of the tournament last Tuesday evening.

The Warriors defeated Slippery Rock 1-0 earlier in the season on Sept. 30.

The winner of the quarterfinal game will play the semifinal game at West Chester this afternoon.
