When You Get that Call

When you get that call, you’re in disbelief,

You are gasping for air and clutching your chest.

When you get that call, your heart starts racing,

You look down as your hands begin to shake.

When you get that call, your body goes numb, 

You aren’t processing what the police are saying. 

When you get that call, your world stops,

You never imagined your loved one being taken.
