ESU University Police were alerted to a robbery that occurred on Sept. 7 at 3 a.m. within Hemlock Residence Hall.

According to the University Police report, the individuals were two Black males, “wearing white T-Shirts. One had black pants white sneakers and a purple durag or headwrap. The second was wearing gray shorts, flip flops with black socks.”

The suspects entered the main lounge of the residence hall and stole personal belongings from two students, according to the report.

The report went on to say that the individuals are not believed to be ESU students, but have been seen before around campus and might have some connections with students who live inside of the residence hall.

University Police also released a set of guidelines to enhance individual safety in the residence halls, including locking all doors, traveling in groups, reporting suspicious activity and being mindful of personal belongings.

If anyone has any information regarding the robbery, they are encouraged to contact the University Police.
