As a college student, I often don’t have enough money to go to expensive stores and buy a lot of decor for my room. But recently, I’ve been finding a lot of cute and trendy decor at a place many people take for granted: Dollar Tree.
There are so many options that you can purchase there to decorate a dorm room, apartment, or even prepare school supplies. And all for $1.25 each!
For fall decorations, I’ve so far been able to collect an assortment of cute fall decor. An owl, a pumpkin, a scarecrow and a Halloween candy bowl.
Dollar Tree is also the place that my roommates and I go to get many of our kitchen and living supplies. Tupperware, utensils, paper towels and laundry detergent. The materials are great, cheap and easy to use. It’s at a price you can’t beat! It’s one of my favorite places to shop. I can always find myself there buying decorations, snacks, or school supplies.
The prices of snacks at Dollar Tree is also another great deal that can’t be beat. Snacks such as donuts, chips and animal crackers are snacks that I always buy from there. They taste just as good to me as any other brands!
Especially with the addition of their “Dollar Plus” section there have been many upgrades in quality and options that are available to be purchased at the store.
There’s one other obsession that I’ve come to find at Dollar Tree, an item that I found over the summer when shopping for college: Prayer cards.
The prayer cards sold at Dollar tree come with 20 in a single pack, all with different Bible verses on the back of each one. Various patterns are sold at the store, and I’ve found myself fondly collecting as many different ones as I can at different store locations. The cards are great quality: placed on thick paper with beautiful patterns. I like to pick out a card every morning, and it’s a perfect way to start my day!
Along with those prayer cards are also journals, each with different Bible verses on the front covers and on the inside. They are inspirational, aesthetically pleasing and good quality. As someone who likes to journal while reading their Bible, Dollar Tree has been a great place to find nice quality Biblical materials for journaling.
Shopping at Dollar Tree has now become to me a fun experience. It’s no longer the place that my mother takes me into just to shop for pencils or candy. It’s the place that I go to for all of my dorm needs: utensils, paper towels, decor, snacks and much more. I always recommend it for college students who are looking to spruce up their dorm or shop with a budget!
