Two people were found dead after a shooting on Ski Side Drive in Pocono Township.

Around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, Pocono Township police responded to a domestic disturbance. Upon arriving, they found Kyle Campbell Worrell, 39, dead at the scene from a self-inflicted gun shot wound to the head, along with his girlfriend Leilani Ramos, 37, who was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, before being pronounced dead around 8:30 p.m. due to her gunshot wounds.

After their autopsies, the Lehigh Valley’s Coronor’s office declared Ramos’ death a homicide, and Worrell’s a suicide. Worrell had shot Ramos multiple times before taking his own life.

Police say this was an isolated domestic violence incident and there is no threat to the public. The investigation is still ongoing, with detectives looking into what could have prompted Worrell to kill his girlfriend and himself. Her family has started a GoFundMe in her memory, describing her as “a devoted and caring mother, daughter, sister, cousin, niece and friend.”
