The following story was published by the Stroud Courier on Friday, Dec. 17, 1943.

The first women’s basketball practice of the season conducted on December 6 proved promising. Approximately fifty candidates went through the rigid conditioning exercises which are characteristic of the first few practices. Miss Genevieve Zimbar and Dean Eugene Martin are collaborating on techniques for both guards and forwards.

The current ESU women’s and men’s basketball teams are busy preparing for their 2023-2024 season. On Dec. 10, the men’s and women’s teams will be hosting a double header at Koehler Fieldhouse against Holy Family. The women will start at 1:00 and the men at 3:00.
