East Stroudsburg University recognized the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 through a Flag Walk across campus this past Friday, Sept. 11 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The event served as a way to honor the many lives lost during the attacks.

At the start of the event around 7:30 a.m. President Long took the flag and walked around the college circle. After his walk he shared his personal story on how he experienced Sept. 11. Long then handed off the flag to campus police who did their walk next. Many other organizations walked the flag throughout the day as well. Among these groups were the Mekeel Child Care Center, the Men’s and Women’s Wrestling Teams and the University Band.
