March 19, 2024 marked the first day of Spring, and students on campus are changing their playlists based on the seasons.

There are certain songs that give off specific vibes so if I am driving with my windows down, I have to listen to music that matches that energy,” says junior Delaney Hibbits. “Whenever the temperature goes up, my car windows go down, and Eric Church is on the radio.” Hibbits states her favorite song to listen to in the spring is “Springsteen” as it reminds her of days at the beach, concerts, and watching the sunset.

I’ve been having “Silver Springs” by Fleetwood Mac on repeat this Spring,” said sophomore Courtney Donnerstag. “I think songs have “feelings” to them that can impact your mood — and this song just makes me think of Spring! The song is so empowering too, so it definitely has been a staple song for me to listen to as the seasons change.”

Senior Sammy Repsher’s favorite song to listen to in Spring is “Presumably Dead Arm” by Sidney Gish. “Fall, winter, and spring—for almost my entire life thus far—have been times for school. That makes spring a sort of ending. It’s bright, it’s cheerful, it’s warm, but it’s still the end of a time I get very sentimental for.”
